Not again
and i just got an email from smu regarding my acceptance into accountancy. apparently, there's a 10% chance of getting into smu accountancy and 1% chance of getting into smu law.
Bingo!
the law interview was just like an argumentative tape recording. the professor bombarded like forever, and all i could do was to retort while hoping that he might finally just get my drift.
the test was contrary to popular belief. it wasn't an essay; more like a source-based question. oh boy.
and now SAT. great.

in any case, wish me luck on friday! need to get my essay and all the crap done by then. oh god.
Cough; Cough
been really busy after dad's trip to china. because that fellow doesn't tell you much, you pretty much assume when all the stuffs come running into your life. there's the arrival of some new credit card, and the tagging of the starhub bills to another credit card and the confusion amidst all the booking of air tickets.
i've been really efficient! so far, i've settled everything and now's pretty much the waiting time! oh yes! and my camera was sent for repair on saturday (went shopping on saturday though i was still a little sick) and oh boy! it's done already! :D
my cough has worsened, it started off with a bad throat then slowly morphed into some monster consisting of a bad cough, a numb throat, runny/blocked nose and a really sore lower hip. i suppose the power of my coughs were so intense my whole body started aching. sighhh.
oh yes! and did i mention my obsession with online shopping? most things are so beautiful and crazily-priced i keep falling into the dilemma of buying it or not. then again, there are some rather rude and impatient sellers who beckon and almost even beg you to buy their stuffs. but when you start posing more questions they just lazily reply you with the price and nothing whatsoever. oh wells.
and i finally ended my internship at drew and napier! it was a rather tedious decision to make because on one hand, i was keen on the promising court sessions and yet on the other hand, i was trembling like a kookoo nutcase in the office already. made the latter decision because i couldn't die in the office could i!
been staying home everyday since the end of the internship on monday and i really have to say this: the weather's killing me! what with the bright sunny sun one moment and torrents of rain the next. hope i recover soon enough! i want to go out with my girls! :(

internship at drew and napier has been really eventful though at times, we can just totally rot around for eight hours straight. i do feel more exasperated than usual though, for reasons i shall refrain from elucidating. i especially love the court hearing sessions, as well as the tremendous amount of chances you know you'll get.
i'm praying i get to go to the parliament next week and that the case that the lawyer's following will be on the record! :D
oh yes! and i totally adore online shopping. lovely lovely bags :D
Case of serious mix-up
oh wells. i guess it isn't entirely a bad affair. at least it was GP-ish right? but nevertheless really got a shock and hmms entirely disappointed. spent the entire two days reading up on current affairs, ranging from those reported in the newspapers to the more controversial ones addressed in the TIME magazines. even brushed up my knowledge on SMU!
all came to naught. brrrs.
the random people i went in with were really nice people though. new friends! (:

that photo was taken in topshop's fitting room because i really liked that eh jacket but hmms the sides were too big. oh wells :( haha then we bought donuts and went home after! after a rather hmms miserly meal at superdog. the prices at superdog are like omigosh exorbitant! imagine 5 over bucks for a hotdog bun. urghs. and one donut's missing because my sister sorta walloped the mochattio the moment i set the box down on the dining table.
happy BELATED birthday debs! :D the turn-out was really good but the activities were so boring we all wanted to go home after that absent dinner. absent in the sense that only about three of them were gorging on sushi and unagis while the rest of us were so tired to even think of eating.
went for the free face spa at the ultimate on tuesday! the entire experience was similar to that at leonard drake so i didn't really get why the prices were so different. the facialist was kinda rough though, which didn't exactly please me. but i really loved the tea services. you're sorta served this cup of flower tea before the treatment then another cup of ginger tea, coupled with apricot and nougats after the facial treat. the place was also exquisitely done up and as much as i'd have loved to sign up for their spa packages, the prices were major turn-offs.
stopped by at raffles city with phyl before going for our dance class because we were kinda lured into the fashion show craze. the collection by anne klein new york was totally stunning! fell head over heels with three dresses, so darn sweet and flowy. and no matter how hard i tried to take photos of the models the only one i managed to take was this
phyl was also complaining non-stop about how she wasn't offered a modelling contract. phylicia dear! entrance into the media business always requires a huge amount of luck. so your time will come and for now just settle with administrative jobs eh :D funny girl was telling me how she went for this interview with this chinese abacus centre and her nightmare came alive. because! the interviewer was speaking in chinese. so phyl the kentang had to deliver her answers in mixtures of english and chinese.
went over to mum's working place (YMCA) this morning, to help her install some retarded program called i-pen which i thought was absolutely redundant. the kids made my day though! so cute, inquisitive and charming. they kept running over to chat with me and i was just totally bowled over by their intelligence and vocal capabilities. totally awesome. but i was aghast at how some parents can be so stingy and cold-blooded, to the extent that they don't even bother about how their children are going to fit into the class properly. for instance, they refuse to pay for the trip to snow city and now the books! the poor girl was so sad; i had a strong gut feeling that poor girl was going to have to consult psychologists in the future.

gonna start work at drew and napier llc next week, and the job stint's only for two weeks. a huge disappointment though but i suppose the experience's about enough. gonna be on the look out for jobs later on AGAIN. and the number of rules you have to follow at the law firm is just overwhelming. breatheee.

the job was well, varied because although in the contract i'm only supposed to do data-entry, i was also made to do printing, scanning, filing, creation of new files, archiving of old files, auditing of receipts and loads of other sai gangs. they should have just written sai gang assistant in finance department instead of data-entry assistant. but i was just might as well, because many a times i did so much data-entry from 9 till 6 per day till i really saw stars in my eyes. urghs.
but having said that, i will just totally die if i ever see any amkor/ase korea/ase cl/vanguard/unitive/unisem/carsem/siliconware/utac/tsmc/magnachip/statschippac and whatever organisation's invoices. and no more reconciliations or tiring punching and stamping of enormous stacks of invoices! haha!
and hmms i think the finance department should go for more group lunches together! the ambience's always better and isn't bonding exceptionally important! haha but if there are really irritating people tagging along, just forget it. just spoils the mood. plus the fact that he loves to spurt useless redundant nonsense like hey she has a supplementary card! (info snatched from my blog) to which i would love to have said

i am so glad i'm like totally freed from the hell i had to experience sitting in the middle square. for one there was this ultra pinky who was just nonsensically bimbotic and calculative. pinky didn't pissed me off so much; the one sitting behind pinky was like the root of all evils. he is, in short, noisy, attention-seeking, terribly egoistic, horribly loud, disgustingly awful and just shockingly stingy.
i think he specially took leave on thursday and friday just to avoid any possible expenses he could incur for vivien's birthday treats and my farewell gift. but no worries uncle! because i didn't get a farewell gift at all.
holy cow! how can anybody be as irritating as him. but being the devil as always, i warned chew yan about him and about how he goes around surfing for blogs and printing the details out AND even has the cheek to later explain that he got to your blog by searching for the company's name. burn in hell you asshole, i did the same search thing and all i got were more and more information regarding the company itself and no signs of blogs! so yeah burn in hell, you pesky creature.
oh my! i would love to see the look on his face if he ever reads my entry, which is actually highly possible. grrrs.

vivien got two sets of flowers! i call it set because the first one was filled with her wedding flowers (the one of yellow roses and orange daisies i think) and the other one was like a combination of loads of purplish and maroon flowers. sighhh. so nice :D
oh wells. met up with the girls on thursday! had a hmms absent dinner at ichiban boshi where all eight of us were squashed into two long benches. we were quite a din i suppose considering the fact that most of us almost couldn't stand the amount of noise we were making ourselves. haha what a paradox.
going shopping with ying next week! day's not confirmed though (: should be monday i suppose, should i fail to snag the one day receptionist job at raffles place. HA!
ooh! and i just ordered earrings online. really pretty and economical earrings hee.
